Joshua Fechter is an entrepreneur who has advised many startups from software companies to leading publications. He primarily focuses on customer acquisition and hyper-local community building.
In his senior year of high school, he was introduced to the subjects economics and psychology. He discovered within these subjects a passion for understanding the brain and statistical modeling.
After only three years of college at San Diego State University, he graduated with degrees in both economics and political science. While on track to finishing his third degree, finance, he dropped out of school to found a startup that failed a year later. After experiencing seven failed startups within the next two years, he found momentum in the entrepreneurial world and has had many successful ventures since.
Some of these ventures include building sales funnels for close twenty different companies and introducing behavioral psychology and economics into many customer acquisition processes.
He spends a significant amount of time furthering his understanding of the cognitive psychology and economics that underlie how consumers interact with social media. He frequently writes about his favorite social media platform, Facebook. He currently resides in San Francisco where he’s consulting more companies on their customer acquisition processes and writing his first fiction novel.
